For our breakfast team at the Viennese Breakfast Salon, this means giving guests a piece of Viennese happiness. No matter how early in the morning it is in the Vienna city centre, in the Viennese Breakfast Salon at the Henriette City Hotel, we are already hatching ideas early on to prepare an excellent breakfast from the best products.

Our “Muntermacher” team love to express their creativity for the Viennese breakfast. "Organic tastes best!", they all agree. Whether it’s eggs, fruit, vegetables or bread. A crispy bread roll is also a Viennese speciality, as are the pancakes.

It makes us so happy when our breakfast tastes good. But it’s even better when you know where something was grown, and who grows it, takes care of it, and delivers it. 89,4 % of the food served in the Hotel Henriette Viennese Breakfast Salon is regionally sourced, 72,4 % percent from controlled organic production. 84 % of our suppliers are from Austria.

Henriette loves such things. Oh, and then there are our eggs – with the most beautiful messages hand-written by our breakfast team to start your day with a smile. We, and our guests, find that a good breakfast is a wonderful way to live well and feel good.

Breakfast with regional organic products

Anyone can say, "we are organic"

But Henriette is not everyone. And neither are our guests. That's why we prioritise transparency and have the organic content of our breakfast (measured at the time of purchase) checked by two independent bodies.

"GAUMEN HOCH" is a community and quality label for businesses in the catering and agricultural sectors where food is produced and processed responsibly. Membership is based on organic certification, which is carried out by LVA GmbH on behalf of "Gaumen Hoch".
"NATÜRLICH GUT ESSEN" is the City of Vienna's award for catering establishments offering sustainable food and drink. Compliance with the organic criteria is monitored by BIOS Austria.

Both bodies check the organic certification - unannounced - once a year.

With 72.4 % of all the food you enjoy at breakfast currently organic, we are delighted to have been granted the SILVER award for both initiatives!

Good morning - when and where is breakfast?

At Hotel Henriette, breakfast is served daily from 6:30 am to 10:30 am.
Our Wakeup Crew awaits you in the Viennese Breakfast Salon on the 2^nd floor.

Vegan – yes, of course!

Needless to say, we also offer vegan dishes in the Viennese Breakfast Salon. Oat and soy milk are standard, and we are also happy to froth these up for you. Bread and pastries are also vegan (except croissants and brioche pastries). Vegan butter and cheese are also available on request.

If you let us know in advance, we can make sure that you have everything you need at breakfast!

Food intolerance – we will take care of it.

Wheat or cow's milk are not exactly your best friends? Our Wakeup Crew will ensure that our guests with food intolerances are catered for.

Plant-based milk and coconut yoghurt are always part of the buffet; gluten-free bread and pastries are served separately and, as an exception, are packaged in plastic. It's best to let us know what you need when you book!

In a hurry or have early plans? – Get your breakfast to go

Simply let our reception know by 2:00 pm the day before and we’ll be happy to put together a Henriette breakfast box with tasty treats for you to take away!

Guests from outside are very welcome and can enjoy the regular hotel breakfast at Hotel Henriette for EUR 28. This includes Melange coffee, Caffè Latte, English Breakfast Tea and more – all organic and fair trade, of course.

How good is it that we are not just a "hotel with breakfast in the centre of Vienna", but a place with imagination and perhaps the best organic breakfast in the Praterstraße neighbourhood. Oh, and not only that, we are the best by far and wide!

A gem of a place in a beautiful city.
What a gem we found in the Henriette Stadthotel. (…) The inclusive breakfasts were extensive and excellent. Much better than many expensive supposedly five star places. Lots of choice from fresh juice shots, eggs, cheeses, hams, fruits, home made yoghurts and granolas etc, etc. All organic and fresh. A perfect start before a day exploring this glorious city. The staff were so friendly and helpful and I must send a shout out for Bettina and Diet on reception, and the very friendly breakfast room guys who replenished and cleared the tables constantly. (…)
